Powder preparation

Tungsten carbide sheet is composed of tungsten, cobalt and other metals and carbides, prepared by ball milling method, powder particle size is finer. Among them, tungsten and carbon play a role in increasing hardness, and cobalt acts as a binder.
Press forming
After the powder preparation is complete, the powder is put into the mold for pressing and forming. During the pressing process, the powder needs to be compacted to reach a certain density for subsequent heat treatment.
Heat treatment
Heat treatment is an important link in the production of cemented carbide sheets. Vacuum heat treatment is usually used to treat the compressed powder at high temperatures to crystallize and cure it. After heat treatment, the hardness and wear resistance of cemented carbide sheet have been greatly improved.
polishing
By polishing, the finish and surface gloss of the cemented carbide sheet can be further improved. Polishing can use a variety of methods such as mechanical grinding and chemical polishing, but care needs to be taken to avoid excessive cutting resulting in surface damage.
