What is the difference between single groove and double groove for carbide rotary burrs?
Tungsten carbide rotary burr, also known as tungsten carbide high speed rotary cutter, tungsten carbide grindintg die, can be used with high speed electric mill or pneumatic tools.
We could see there is different groove type for rotary burrs, so what is the difference between the single groove and double groove?
The texture of single groove determines that it is not very rational for soft objects, because when the single groove burrs works and cuts, the broken chip is easy to block the groove, resulting in the depth of the groove texture becoming shallow, and the cutting ability is reduced; Single-groove rotary burr is more suitable for iron, copper, steel and other hard objects.
Double groove is crossed patterns, it is more suitable for the object density is relatively low. For example: used in wood, plastic, aluminum objects, etc. Carbide burrs with cross patterns have fast chip removal, when grinding and carving it is not easy to block the groove, so double groove carbide burr is more suitable for soft objects.
For aluminum machining, it is generally use the single coarse groove, which is usually called aluminun cutter.
