Note: This preliminary processing process is best to use 150#-320# grit diamond rough finishing grinding wheel.

 

Step 2: grind the tool into a taper after opening the flat

Loosen the horizontal locking handle, turn the horizontal tool holder rotary device to 1/2 tool taper angle calculation degrees (for example: to grind 60 ° taper tip knife, must turn to 30 ° - experience angle 5 ° = 25 ° position) lock, adjust the tool holder position pin for not inserted into the slot of the free state, the left hand evenly turn the long axis trimmer handle, while the tool slowly grinding forward in the left direction, the right hand evenly turn The tool holder tightening nut handle is turned evenly with the right hand while the tool is being ground in the left direction to form a cone shape. This process cannot completely sharpen the tool tip, but must leave a margin of about 0.4mm. Note: This preliminary processing process is best to use 320# diamond finishing grinding wheel.


Step 3: Sharpen the cutting edge of the tool

Adjust the indexing disc of the tool holder to rotate to the original datum line 0 degree groove line, rotate 6 grooves to the right to make the tool open flat surface horizontal up position. Then adjust the indexing disc of the tool holder to the right to rotate 2 frames for the slot line position, so that the pin state is locked so that the tool is fixed and cannot be rotated, at this time, the left hand evenly rotates the long axis fine adjustment device, so that the tool holder slowly grinds forward in the left direction to fine grind the left cutting edge of the tool at point a.

Note: This preliminary processing process is best to use 320#-400# diamond finishing grinding wheel. For better surface quality, use 600#-1200# diamond super-finishing grinding wheels.

 

Step 4: Sharpen the back part of the tool

After determining to grind the cutting edge part a point, pull up the pin to position 2, so that the tool can rotate in the limit block, processing c point and over b point rotary grinding out the back of the tool, so that the right hand clockwise evenly turn the tool holder nut handle at the same time a small amount of left hand evenly turn the long axis fine adjustment device, so that the tool holder slowly to the left direction of grinding forward so that the tool back face hobbing grinding out.

 

Step 5: Sharpen the tool tip part

After the tool is sharpened, loosen the locking tool holder tightening nut handle so that the tool is in a loose state and take it out of the collet, hold the tool handle part with both hands and tilt it 20-30° back angle perpendicular to the grinding wheel end face to lightly throw the tool tip on the grinding wheel end face while turning clockwise, mainly to control the actual processing requirements for the width of the tool, generally: 0.1-0.2MM (This technology is very simple for skilled workers, but beginners need to try more times).
