Tungsten carbide nozzles
Jinxin
Product Description
Tungsten carbide nozzles are precision-engineered components made from cemented carbide, a composite material consisting primarily of tungsten carbide (WC) and a cobalt (Co) binder. Renowned for their exceptional hardness and wear resistance, these nozzles are designed to withstand highly abrasive, high-pressure, and corrosive environments where conventional steel nozzles would wear out quickly.
Due to their long service life and stable performance, tungsten carbide nozzles are widely used in industries such as oil and gas, mining, sandblasting, waterjet cutting, chemical processing, and additive manufacturing.
Tungsten carbide is one of the hardest engineering materials available, with a hardness of up to HV 1,400–2,000 depending on the grade. This allows carbide nozzles to resist abrasion from sand, slurry, powders, and other hard particles.
Benefits:
Longer service life
Reduced replacement frequency
Lower maintenance costs
Improved production efficiency
Many carbide grades provide excellent resistance to corrosive media, making them suitable for applications involving:
Chemical solutions
Saltwater
Drilling fluids
Industrial slurries
Abrasive suspensions
Tungsten carbide nozzles maintain dimensional accuracy under extreme pressure, making them ideal for:
High-pressure waterjet systems
Oilfield drilling equipment
Hydraulic cleaning systems
Industrial spraying equipment
Precision-ground carbide nozzles feature accurately machined orifices that ensure:
Stable flow rates
Uniform spray patterns
Reduced turbulence
Improved process consistency
This is especially important for automated manufacturing systems.
Tungsten carbide retains its mechanical properties at elevated temperatures, making it suitable for demanding industrial environments.
